About Alba

Hi! I’m Alba, I'm from Madrid, Spain; I'm an honor student with an excellent academic record and a true passion for teaching. I offer comprehensive academic support for Elementary and Middle School students who want to improve their grades and, most importantly, master the art of organization and self-management.

My Schedule:
My weekday schedule is quite busy with my own studies, which is why I specialize in weekend sessions. This is the perfect time for students to review the week’s material calmly, organize their planners for the upcoming week, and prepare for exams without the usual weekday rush. Feel free to ask about specific weekday slots—I always try my best to accommodate!

What I Offer in My Lessons:
- Academic Support: Clear and simple explanations for Math, Science, and Language Arts.
- Spanish Language & Culture: From conversational fluency to grammar and writing, using my native perspective from Spain.
- Advanced Study Techniques: My goal isn't just to finish homework; it’s to teach students how to create mind maps, summarize effectively, and study autonomously. I help them build habits that will serve them throughout their entire academic journey.

Why Choose Me?
I’ve always loved helping my peers understand complex topics, which has given me the ability to explain difficult concepts in a simple, relatable way. I am organized, punctual, and extremely patient.
I have a strong background working with children in dynamic environments, such as summer camps and youth mentorship programs, where I’ve learned to make every activity engaging and educational.

As a fellow student, I connect quickly with the challenges kids face today—I know how they feel and, more importantly, I know how to overcome those hurdles. My lessons are dynamic, online, and 100% tailored to each student's pace. I use digital tools to ensure every session is interactive, visual, and keeps the student actively engaged.

I would be thrilled to help your children reach their goals, boost their confidence, and become independent learners!

About the lesson

My Teaching Approach
I believe that the best way for a child to learn a language is through active engagement and curiosity. My method is based on the Natural Approach: I prioritize communication and confidence-building. Instead of memorizing long lists of grammar rules, my students learn through context, games, and real-life scenarios. I adapt every lesson to the student's hobbies (whether they love sports, video games, or animals) to keep them excited about every session.
I have a strong background working with children in dynamic environments, such as summer camps and youth mentorship programs, where I’ve learned to make every activity engaging and educational.

What Sets Me Apart
Authentic Castilian Spanish: I provide the prestigious European accent, which is highly valued for its clarity and cultural heritage.
Student-to-Student Connection: As a current student myself, I understand the pressure children face. I am not just a teacher; I am a coach who teaches them study techniques and organization that they can apply to all their school subjects.

My classes are specially designed for Elementary & Middle School students (ages 6-14), but I could manage younger kids too!

In my lessons, I help children achieve their goals in learning Spanish—whether it's for school, an official exam, or simply the joy of learning a new language—all while teaching them essential study techniques and organization. Furthermore, I am happy to assist with any school homework as needed.
