About Davina
I have a Bachelor (Honours) degree in Natural History illustration - drawing the natural world i.e botanicals, insects, animals or anything where science and art meet.

My aim is to help people see, starting with drawing still life subjects, then adding a medium such as acrylics, watercolour or coloured pencil. When ready progress to more complex subjects, such as insects or plants. Visual studies will also include rendering self-portraits in a variety of styles, this will aim to loosen up the student and encourage creativity.
I will implement a visual journal and encourage sketching on the go and recording everyday subjects. This will introduce to the student “seeing” the world around us as more in tuned artists do. These lessons will be age appropriate and aimed at the skill set of each student.
Primary aged children will be given fun and engaging exercises and subjects to illustrate. Adults will be required to practice between lessons to develop their skills and find a medium they are interested in - and have fun too!
