About Amie
I graduated first in my class with a degree in Natural Sciences (Zoology) from Trinity College Dublin. I have since spent time working in research and have published papers in scientific journals as first author. My academic writing abilities have been further recognised through university awards, as well as being Highly Commended in the Global Undergraduate Awards.
I am a qualified Teaching English as a Foreign Language teacher (120hr), with additional certificates in Teaching English Online and teaching for IELTS examinations (in progress). I have experience in editing essays in the STEM field (zoology, natural sciences, engineering). I am an enthusiastic and friendly teacher who is committed to helping my students to thrive in their academic pursuits!
In my spare time I enjoy spending time outdoors, yoga, skiing and traveling :-)

* get the most from their education by improving their English language skills
* assist my students in a professional environment by developing their communication and writing abilities
I am particularly interested in scientific / academic / report writing and would love to help you review and improve these skills. As a TEFL qualified teacher, I can then offer tailored lessons to address common issues or misunderstandings of the individual student to help improve their writing style. I am a published researcher with a talent for scientific writing, as demonstrated by a number of awards recognising my writing abilities, as well as the fact I graduated first in my class from one of Ireland's leading universities.
