About Steve
I am a nature photographer and run Steve Paterson Photography, based in North Rocks, Sydney. I have a background in environmental education an love discovering and sharing the beauty in nature that many miss. I have a passion for macro photography. I am also a writer and have published one book and three photo books. I can teach you how to tell stories through your photographs. I also have experience in pet photography.

My teaching style is personalised and hands on. I first learn what the student knows and what they want to learn and find practical ways to fill in the gaps. I love to get to know people and enjoy the time together. People learn much better and retain more when they are relaxed. Lessons can be at Hunts Creek, Carlingford or bushland near you, or even in hour garden.
