About Charlie
I’m a 25-year-old neuroscience graduate with a strong interest in psychedelic research, recently relocated to Melbourne. I’m passionate about helping students succeed in their studies by making learning an engaging and meaningful experience. Rather than relying on rote memorization, I believe in teaching through intuitive understanding and relevance—especially in a field as fascinating as neuroscience. To me, learning shouldn’t be tedious. With the right approach, even the most complex topics can become inspiring and accessible. I’m friendly, patient, and genuinely enjoy guiding others through the process of discovery. I love music and art, and I’m fascinated by how neuroscience can deepen our appreciation of human experience—emotion, perception, creativity, and consciousness. Through tutoring, I aim to share that wonder while helping students feel confident and curious in their academic journey.

I’m a calm and approachable tutor who helps students navigate complex topics by breaking them down into clear, relatable ideas. I use a conversational style, metaphors, and active testing to identify and resolve conceptual blocks. Lessons typically run 1–2 hours, depending on the student’s needs. I hold an honours degree from the top interdisciplinary Natural Sciences program in the Netherlands, ranked among the top 100 in Europe. I have prior experience tutoring at university and supporting peers through difficult exams. I offer tutoring for VCE biology and chemistry students, as well as bachelor-level neuroscience and chemistry students.
