About Thomas
I am a third-year PhD student in Pharmacology and Neuroscience . I began tutoring in 2019 where I first helped students with their high school math and English composition classes.
Since becoming a graduate student, I have had formal mentoring experience with Project SHORT, an organization providing pro bono consulting for students from disadvantaged backgrounds who are applying for graduate and medical school. With Project SHORT I have advised several students on all aspects of their graduate school applications, from program selection to meticulous proofreading and editing of essays and personal statements.
Further, as a PhD student, I have excelled in my coursework in systems and cognitive neuroscience, human anatomy, neurophysiology, neuroimaging, and grant writing. I have also authored and published peer-reviewed scientific articles on the neurophysiology of motor control and neural plasticity, with several more on the topics of memory and reasoning either in preparation or currently under review. Additionally, I have participated in the scientific peer-review processes as a reviewer for cognitive neuroscience articles.

I offer sessions in more specific topics for college students, specifically those in human anatomy and physiology, human neuroscience, and psychology.
