About Demi
My name is Demi and I am 18 years old. I'm a dedicated tutor specializing in college prep and health science courses, though I am also available for some other subjects, if needed. I am a graduate of the Rutgers School of Health Professions Career Program and currently attend Northeastern University in Boston as a Behavioral Neuroscience major on the Pre-Med track, which means I have been immersed in the study of the medical field for about five years now and have been tutoring since my freshman year of high school, working with students of all levels- from kindergarten to high school- to tackle challenging concepts, build effective study habits, and achieve their goals with confidence. My teaching approach is personalized and focused on making learning engaging and accessible to all. I’m here to support you every step of the way. I understand that STEM courses can be daunting, especially when you are preparing to make what is notoriously seen as one of the most arduous adjustments of your life: college (D:). But with someone to help guide the way and ease your burden, this change can be worlds of fun! I believe in breaking down complex concepts into digestible parts, making learning both manageable and enjoyable. I also incorporate real-world examples and encourage critical thinking to help students apply knowledge beyond the classroom. As someone who is currently a student themselves, I try to apply my knowledge of learning styles and positive reinforcement that I have always wished to see in my classroom and those that I have learned throughout my years to any students that I help!
