About Matthew
I’m an artist and engineer with a passion for the art of acting for TV and Film and bringing to life stage performances to captivate an audience. Having spent many years training and studying acting from Meisner trained teachers in New York I want to bring my knowledge and skills back to the UK to help new or developing actors build confidence in moment to moment acting making stronger choices and remaining present within their work. I’m a strong believer in confidence coming from understanding the craft and skills associated with the highest levels of the art form.

My method of teaching will involve:
-Assessment of current skills and action planning
-Theory and structure of the Meisner training
-One to one acting, coaching and scene study
-Advice and teaching on voice, movement, actioning, cold reading, managing nervous energy, acting styles, learning lines.
Lessons are for actors 18 years and above and will last for 1 to 2 hours per class.
I am a graduate of the London School for Film and Television, The Actors Temple in London, The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts with 7 stage performances, voice over training, and background work on two film projects. I spent 5 years as an artist at Pinewood Studios and produced my own theater show off-off Broadway. Recently I have also studied with Tracey Street and have a diverse body of training from working professionals.
