About Jordan
Hello! Welcome!
I'm Jordan. I’m a native English speaker born and bred in the Midlands, UK. I hold degrees in English Literature (BA) and Creative Writing (MA) from Nottingham Trent University, and a Level 5 diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
While my professional background is in food service and business management, I’ve always loved writing, literature, and language learning. I have 2+ years as a volunteer tutor in primary and secondary schools - helping young and teen learners improve their reading, writing, and speaking skills. I’ve also had several articles published online as a video game journalist.

I currently offer conversational lessons to all ages and stages of English.
- Every lesson is personalised to meet your goals, interests, and progression.
- I use a wide range of real-life materials designed for native English speakers to prepare you for language use outside the classroom.
- Lessons focus on communicative learning to really improve your fluency and accuracy.
In our first lesson I will assess your current level of English, talk about your specific goals and preferred learning styles, and I will work with you to create a personalised learning programme tailored just for you. Don’t worry, it’s not as daunting as it sounds!

I offer a free 30-minute trial lesson where we will get to know each other, discuss your English goals, and begin to create a personalised learning plan tailored just for you.
I only provide online lessons. My hourly rate is £13 per hour.
