Giulia provides a very well rounded level of instruction with relevant background and theory along with the expected practical application. She is great with younger and older age groups. I can tell that my daughters have accelerated in their piano level in a short time with her!

Giulia is a wonderful piano teacher. She is really helping me cover the lagunas I have in my study of music. I studied piano as a child and through my teenage years and never learned some essential elements of music theory such as the circle of fifths and its importance in playing music. She has brought to my attention aspects of playing the piano that I never thought of. For example, she pointed out that the left hand in piano is not played at the same volume as the right hand because the right hand usually carries the melody. That makes so much sense! She went on to explain that piano pieces are like songs that have parts with phrases were you raise your tone or lower it and take breaths as if you were singing and, furthermore, that you can mark the places in a piece where a phrase starts and ends and another one starts. This I would do intuitively but I didn’t know how to articulate that or that that is precisely how one studies a piece of music! She plays piano beautifully and has an excellent background in classical music. She is also very enthusiastic and supportive of my piano playing and is very organized in structuring my guiding my practice time weekly.
