About Nicholas
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have worked mainly in industry over the last 15 years, and am now moving into teaching. The branch of the electronics industry I was in was specialised entertainment systems, where I worked as an engineer, designer and project manager. I have teaching experience from four years teaching TEFL in Germany, and from working on a voluntary basis as a teaching assistant in a local academy.

I have a full and recent CRB disclosure.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
I currently teach three students, all of whom are studying towards GCSE's in a few years. I teach all of the sciences and maths with them.

- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach mainly science subjects up to A level, but also can teach German and English (I speak fluent German from teaching English in Germany for four years). My current degree studies are in Planetary Science with Astronomy, so any budding geologists or astronomers are welcome!
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a Ba in Philosophy and Theology from Kings College, and am working on my second degree in Planetary Science with Astronomy. These studies will lead me to becoming a secondary teacher in a few years. I have all science A levels, and 10 GCSE's grade B to A*.
- How much do you charge?
I charge between £30 and £20 per hour for the first hour, and then a reduced rate for every further hour. For any introductory session, the evaluation and planning before the lesson begins is free.
- Where do you teach?
I am based in Clapham Common, but am mobile and can teach anywhere within south or central London.
- When are you available?
I am available most evenings, and also at weekends. I am flexible as well, so if a particular time suits you, please ask.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I have taught mainly secondary level, from ages 12-18 in the past, and can cover the different syllabi within that age group.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
GCSE and A level.
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
A combination of Skype and desktop controller can be used, but if students have other methods, I am open to suggestions.
