About Thara
My name is Thara! I am a current sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh majoring in nursing. In the past, I've tutored for a private, in-person company working with ages 3-15 in math and reading. This means I am very confident in working with your student!

My teaching method is all up to the student! If the student would like to focus on test prep, we'll focus on that. If the student would like to focus on gaining more insight on a certain topic, I'll help them out with that. A typical lesson plan starts with going through a quick lesson, working on some problems that were assigned to them from the teacher, working on some practice problems that I will assign to them, then working on a challenge problem. What sets me apart as a tutor is that I've worked with young kids in the past and I've been tutored as well. I understand the struggle kids go through with tutoring and I am VERY empathetic. My chemistry lessons are specifically for high school students while my math lessons are for elementary, middle, and high school students.
