About Shanu
I am a college student currently studying in the United States with a strong academic focus in the health sciences and nursing pathway. Alongside my studies, I actively support my college community through leadership roles, including serving as the Vice President in Phi Theta Kappa, where I help build connection, engagement, and academic motivation among students.
I also work in a campus work-study position, gaining professional experience while balancing my coursework and responsibilities. As an international student, I am navigating my educational and career path with long-term goals in healthcare, including nursing and potentially advanced studies in dentistry or related fields.
In my academic journey I am adding my tutoring role as well.

I teach using PowerPoint presentations along with hands-on examples for each concept so students can truly understand what they are learning. A typical lesson lasts 2–3 days, and by the third day, my goal is for students to achieve full mastery of the topic. Unlike many tutors who are graduates or professionals, I bring a relatable perspective as a college student, which helps me explain concepts in a way that feels easier and less intimidating. I focus on making learning interactive, practical, and tailored to each student’s pace.
