About Alexis
I recently earned my M.A. in Psychology from NYU, where I served as a teaching assistant for undergraduate statistics for four semesters. In this role, I led weekly statistics recitations for classes of 30+ students and held regular office hours, where I provided individualized support to students.
My teaching experience includes t-tests, correlations, simple and multiple regression, statistical power, one-way and two-way ANOVA, and chi-square tests. I also have extensive experience applying statistics in psychological research and working with statistical software, including R and SPSS.
I know statistics can feel intimidating, and I enjoy breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps. My goal is to help students understand not only how to conduct statistical analyses, but also why and when to use them.
