About Isa
I began taking private lessons in sixth grade, and have studied consistently with prestigious American oboists for the past nine years. In high school, I attended All-State 4 years consecutively, and consistently have attended summer programs every year to develop my skills. After attending Interlochen arts camp over the summer of my junior year of high school, I enrolled in Interlochen Arts Academy, and received my high school diploma from there. I am now a Senior at Oberlin Conservatory, studying Oboe Performance, and have had many opportunities since then.
I have played in Orchestral settings for six years, and have been accepted into summer programs ranging from Sarasota Music Festival, Interlochen, BUTI, Eastern Music festival and more.

As a musician who has been developing my craft for over ten years, I am able to help provide musical help, fundamental oboe teaching, and reed making skills. I have studied psychology and done extensive learning about how to teach/coach people, and this ability helps ensure I go down the right paths when working privately with an individual student. I take teaching very seriously, as many hours of my life have been that of a student. I understand how critical learning and growing in a safe and comfortable environment is, and I always make it my top priority to ensure my students are working in a productive and balanced atmosphere.
I currently teach multiple students, I would love to work with you, too! Lessons take the shape of whatever each individual needs help with. I like to incorporate fundamental skills into fun/challenging music, and I work with all ages! From beginner to collegiate level, I would love to help anybody who is interested in learning about music pursue their passions!
