About Timur
I am a chess player from Slovakia with over 3 years of teaching experience both online and in-person. I am a certified Chess.com coach with an online rating of over 2000 and 1852 FIDE. Currently, I am also studying philosophy with a minor in educational sciences, which further enriches my training approach.
While the main focus should be improving play and not rating, it is helpful to put things into perspective. On Chess.com, the rating that gets you into the 90th percentile is around 1200-1300. I am highly confident that with enough time, anyone can get to this range or, depending on your starting point, way beyond it.

I offer individual online training sessions in English with the aim of improving your playing ability and rating as quickly and effectively as possible (I can confidently teach anyone below or around 1700). We will analyse your games, solve puzzles, and work on your weak points as well as the things you specifically want to focus on. My teaching style is relaxed and flexible while still focused on achieving real results.
