About Stefania

I am a 19 year old university student and found a passion in English since year 10. The intricate nature of texts and the multiple lenses which we study them from indicate that English is a matter of perspective. From creative writing to analytical, and comparative texts, an individuals understanding is the foundation of constructing the ideal written piece. I can provide feedback on your written works before submission in alliance to the marking rubric of your syllabus and can assist you every step of the way. Whether you're struggling to compose a thesis or can't seem to link your paragraphs back to the main point, I'll be there to guide you in reaching the best grade possible. I have taken students from an average C to a high B in under 10 lessons and even assisted a student in reaching a band 6 in their major work. We can adjust the number of lessons depending on your exam periods and I can help you in summarising your mandatory texts to save time for all your other subjects.

About the lesson

Our one hour lessons will consist of a 10 minute recap of last weeks tasks and feedback on any homework set. Dependant on your goals, the next half hour will be used to discuss the topic you are working on, constructing a thesis or essay plan, or simplifying unknown concepts. The last 20 minutes will be used to discuss the next steps, practice some writing exercises, and possibly allocate a small task due the day before the next lesson. High school students are preferred but I can tailor lessons for grades K-12. I have been conducting private tutoring sessions since graduating high school for just over a year now. I believe every student has a different approach to learning English as a subject and learning techniques are imperative to achieve a positive outcome. Whether you prefer a visual, written, or verbal approach, we will use our first lesson to determine the best pathway to success.
