About Jaden

I started playing basketball at five and began taking the game seriously by ten. As a young player, I represented South East England twice, but I also experienced many of the challenges players rarely speak about openly.

There were times when I struggled to show in games what I could do in training. I dealt with uncertainty around my role, difficult moments with coaches, confidence problems and situations where it felt as though certain players were favoured. I cared deeply about improving, but I did not always have somebody outside the team who could help me understand what was happening or decide what to do next.

At 17 I began coaching and later started my own basketball academy and have since coached more than 500 players. Through coaching, I began recognising many of the same struggles in the players around me.

That is why my work now combines mentorship with individual film study. I support players with the parts of basketball that training alone does not always prepare them for, while helping them understand their performances, recognise what they need to work on and take greater ownership of their development.

In many ways, I aim to be the person I wish I had in my corner as a young player.

About the lesson

Basketball development is about more than on court training. Players can work hard and still struggle with limited playing time, changing roles, difficult relationships with coaches or teammates, setbacks, pressure, trials or simply not knowing what they should be working on.

My online 1-to-1 sessions combine personal mentorship, individual film study and accountability. The support is shaped around what the player is currently experiencing, rather than following the same lesson plan for everyone.

We may talk through a situation with a coach or team, review game footage together, identify patterns in the player’s decisions or discuss what they should focus on next. Players also learn how to watch their own film properly and understand their game beyond points scored.

The aim is to give each player somebody outside their immediate team who is actively paying attention to their development. We work through problems honestly, agree on practical next steps and revisit them over time.

This is not on-court skills training, therapy or a generic motivational session. It is personal basketball mentorship and film study for the individual behind the player.

I primarily support ambitious young and developing players, but enquiries are welcome from basketball players of any age or level.

Jaden’s energy and enthusiasm is contagious. He’s bright, motivational, passionate, and always hungry to get better. His training not only builds a strong/well conditioned athlete, but his approach, more importantly, builds confidence in athletes to believe in their ability to reach new heights
