About Rajarajeswari
Rajarajeswari Srinivasan is a dedicated Carnatic musician, performer, and educator with over 12 years of experience teaching Carnatic Vocal and Violin to students across the globe. She offers personalized one-on-one online classes for students of all age groups and learning levels — from beginners to advanced learners — with a structured, student-friendly, and encouraging approach.
She began learning the violin at the age of five and a half under senior violinist Shri N. Amirtha Bharathi, the great-grandson of Abhirami Bhattar, composer of the Abhirami Anthadi. She later underwent rigorous training under the stalwart Embar Shri S. Raghavasimhan, the youngest brother of renowned Harikatha exponent Embar Shri S. Vijayaraghavachariyar, from whom she learned both Carnatic Vocal and Violin.
She completed her Master’s Degree in Music from University of Madras under the guidance of Smt. Kalyani Shankar, an A-grade violinist of All India Radio, Chennai. She has also undergone advanced training under renowned senior violinist Smt. Charulatha Ramanujam, an A-Top graded violinist of All India Radio, Bangalore.
Rajarajeswari Srinivasan is a B-High graded Violinist of All India Radio, Trichy, and has been presenting full-length solo concerts on AIR since 2014. She was selected to present Violin and Vocal programmes in the Youth category at All India Radio, Trichy during 2007–08.
She is a recipient of the prestigious CCRT National Merit Scholarship in Carnatic Music – Violin from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India (2003–2009), reflecting her consistent excellence and dedication to music from a young age.
In September 2025, she represented India as a performing violinist in a Carnatic vocal concert ensemble during India’s participation as the Guest of Honour at the Moscow International Book Fair. Over 14 days, she performed in nine concerts organized by ICCR, Ministry of External Affairs across Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Vladivostok, contributing to cultural diplomacy through Indian classical music on an international platform.
She has also been invited as a judge for prestigious music competitions, including the Prestige Lakeside Margazhi Festival Music Competition held in Bangalore in December 2025.
She strongly believes that classical music learning should be joyful, disciplined, structured, and deeply enriching. Her teaching combines traditional Carnatic pedagogy with modern online teaching methods to ensure clarity, engagement, and consistent progress.
