About Lara
I grew up bilingual, as a native speaker of both spanish and english, but I teach as someone who is passionate about language learning.
I am a high achieving student of many languages, including French, Spanish and Mandarin. As well as a lover of English and Spanish Literature.
I am familiar with the experience of studying foreign languages, so I am knowledgeable on what it takes to ace an exam. My focus is on helping you with practical and logical strategies for learning, personalised to who you are as a student.
I am a friendly, polite and sociable person, so you can rest assured my tutoring is comfortable and enjoyable as well as productive.

Typical Lesson Length: 30-60 minutes
I have just over 3 years of experience independently tutoring students for various different spanish qualifications, including GCSEs, A-Levels and IB subjects.
I am a qualified C2 Level in Spanish, awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Education, and have formally studied Spanish Literature and Language.
I have 11 IGCSEs (8s and 9s) and an IBDP (37 points).
My teaching style has been described as helpful, logical and engaging. I adapt around the individual needs of each student to help them achieve high grades in reading, writing and listening exams. What I do is highly personalised to each individual, and un-intimidating in style and structure.
My lessons are aimed mainly at students between the ages of 15 and 18, but I am flexible.
