About Anvesha
Hello! I am a Year 13 student currently studying A Level Maths. I have completed GCSE Maths and Further Maths, achieving Grade 9 in both, which gave me a strong foundation and a thorough understanding of the skills students need to succeed. I have always enjoyed tackling challenges in maths, and I find it rewarding to share my knowledge and help others understand concepts that I once found difficult. When I did my GCSEs, I found it really helpful to ask questions and work through past papers with others, which made learning more interactive and enjoyable. I want to bring that same peer-to-peer element into my lessons so students can feel supported while tackling challenging topics. During my time as a maths mentor, I loved supporting students to grow, build confidence, and overcome challenges, which inspires me to tutor. I want to teach because I know how much guidance and support can make a difference, and I enjoy helping students reach their full potential while making learning enjoyable. I also aim to act as a general mentor, offering advice on study techniques, exam strategies, and how to approach GCSEs effectively, because I remember how overwhelming it can be to tackle everything alone. My lessons will focus on making maths clear, structured, and approachable. I will break down complex topics into manageable steps, provide past paper walkthroughs, share time-saving tips and exam hacks, and guide students on how to use past papers effectively. I will create flexible, tailored lessons that suit each student’s pace and needs, whether they are strengthening understanding, getting ahead, or preparing for exams. Beyond academics, I strive to bring patience, encouragement, and positivity to every lesson. I want my students to feel confident, proud of their progress, and develop a genuine interest in maths, which motivates me to continue teaching. Having studied A Level Maths, I can also provide insight into higher-level concepts, helping students connect their GCSE knowledge to future studies. Overall, my goal will be to help students build confidence, improve problem-solving skills, and achieve their best results, all while making lessons engaging, supportive, and enjoyable.
