About Maria
My name is Maria, I am based in Norwich and I am a positive and cheerful person who loves languages. I have been interested in languages ever since I was little, and even started studying Japanese when I was 11 with an online language tutor. I have a BA in Modern Languages and an MA in Translation and Interpreting. I am DBS checked.
Language teaching has always been an interest of mine. Other than online language teaching, I have also taught around the world - in Madagascar and Japan!

Are you struggling to understand the difference between tenses in French? Or word order in German? Or are you just looking for an extra pair of eyes during your homework session? I can help!
I provide a supportive environment to help you (or your child) find the joy in language learning. Together, we can go through your homework and clarify any aspects you're not sure about. The lessons will be guided by you and the specific areas you would like to focus on. Whether it's reading, listening, writing, grammar or speaking, we can work on your goals together to help you improve your language skills (and impress your teachers!)
I have a lot of experience in language teaching, as well as a BA in Modern Languages and an MA in Translation and Interpreting. I have been in your shoes - during my GCSEs and A Levels, I had additional support from language tutors myself, which significantly helped me through my exams, and I wouldn't be where I am today without them! From my experience of being both student and tutor, I am able to offer a great environment for language learners, which is shaped by the students needs and preferences.
My lessons are for those in Year 7 to Year 13 and lessons can be between 30-60mins, depending on what you prefer.
Our first meeting will be free of charge, just so we can get to know each other and you can tell me a bit about what you're looking for.
If you're based around Norwich, then face-to-face lessons are available. If not, no worries - I offer online lessons via Skype as well.
