About Projit
I originally wanted to open these sessions as I have seen that often, Art GCSE at school is taught very prescriptively, with little room to explore your own ideas and mediums you’d be interested in experimenting with. These sessions are to help with that, focusing on your individual needs while also developing your ideas and personal connections with your art! Of course, I expect you to let me view your portfolio somehow, so you will need either a slideshow of photos ready or a way to share your portfolio live, so that we can examine it together!

As someone who received 100% for my GCSE Eduqas Art portfolio, the most important part was understanding the personal connection to my work, as well as smashing out as much work as I could to meet the grade requirements. In these meetings, aimed at GCSE Art students (any exam board), this is what I’d like to focus on, discussing why you are doing the art, what it means to you and how you can push that forward with extra detail and exploration in your coursework! Each lesson will be 1 hour, and I will expect access of some kind to your portfolio BEFORE each meeting, either through camera, screen sharing or a slide show through which I can read annotations and have a good look at your drawn elements. As it should be in art, these lessons are merely a guide, as I’ve found in both my lessons and volunteer work, creative freedom is the best way to allow you to have fun and do well in art.
