About Samuel
Practical Experience:
I tutored English to a Spanish speaker who had moved from Mexico in August 2019 from September 2019 to March 2020. He had very little to no experience with English, so we conversed in Spanish very often.
Also, from January 2020 to May 2020, I tutored Spanish to college students at the Kissinger Academic Center for Excellence.
Education:
I took five year of Spanish in public school. I am currently in my fourth semester of college. I started my first semester with SPAN 3100 (Spanish composition) and have taken three other advanced Spanish courses (3200, 3400, and 4500) since. I am currently taking SPAN 4350, Survey of Latin American Literature.

As a Spanish-Education major, I have learned and applied many concepts from my education classes to help me for this job. The most important thing I have learned is that not all students learn the same way. As I have been preparing to become a high school Spanish teacher, I have constantly reminded myself that my students will not learn the same way that I do. For that reason, I must understand my students and their learning methods to be an effective teacher.
