About Asa
With more than 11 years of experience, I specialise in teaching Guitar to college students who want clear, well-structured lessons. I believe learning guitar should be stress-free and enjoyable.
My teaching style is calm, patient, and organised. I break down complex guitar techniques into small steps so students can understand and apply them easily. I focus on building strong foundations.
I use innovative methods such as learning through popular songs, structured practice schedules, and focused technique drills. Students improve chord transitions, rhythm control, and finger strength through guided exercises. I also use play-along tracks to build timing and confidence.
Music theory is explained in a simple and useful way and connected directly to guitar playing. I also introduce ear training and improvisation to help students grow musically.
I believe encouragement and regular practice lead to success. My goal is to help college students enjoy guitar learning and become independent musicians.

I teach Guitar with a focus on creativity, mentorship, critical thinking, and accountability. I want students to enjoy music while developing both technical skills and musical expression. Lessons include improvisation, composing original pieces, and experimenting with various musical styles.
Critical thinking is an important part of my methodology. I guide students to analyse songs, understand chord progressions and scales, and develop strategies for independent learning. This builds confidence and versatility.
I emphasise accountability by helping students set goals, practise regularly, and track progress. Feedback and encouragement keep students motivated and confident.
In addition to Guitar, I teach music theory, songwriting, ear training, and performance techniques. Lessons are tailored to each student’s pace, level, and interests to make learning fun and effective.
My goal is to mentor students into confident, creative musicians who can enjoy, compose, and perform music independently.
