About Ashley
I am born and bred in sunny Singapore, and I now reside in sunny Gold Coast! As you can tell, I love the sun and the sea, as well as sharing the love for languages.
I come from a background of media and communication studies, most recently graduating with a Bachelor in Journalism from the University of Queensland.
I was brought up to be meticulous with my grammar and vocabulary. I still remember when my mother refused to respond to my text messages unless they were written in proper and perfect English. Talk about strict!
P.S. I may or may not have grown up to be somewhat of a stickler for proper usage of the English language, but that's not why I'm here. I'm here to help you improve, and to enjoy yourself while you improve :)

I am a native speaker in English and Mandarin, and will guide you through your language learning journey the way my past teachers have.
For English language, I can teach you the basics, from phonics and grammar, to the advanced, essay writing and exams.
For Mandarin, I can teach you the basics, how to read, write, and speak.
I can tweak our lessons to cater to your needs, whether you're hoping to work on weak spots to score that 'A' in English class or you're simply keen to learn some Mandarin for a trip abroad.
I am also an inline skater and have trained as a speed skater before. I love skating and am always happy to help grow the sport. Whether you're looking to acquire a new mode of transport, pick up a new bonding activity with your loved ones, or simply to get active, I can help you get steady on your wheels :)
I am based in the Gold Coast, and would love to interact with you in person, because that's what language learning is about—communication between humans! (The same goes for skating, there is no better way to pick up a sport.)
