About Hunter
-Certified Gynecological Teaching Assistant: I’ve talked hundreds of students through the most sensitive physical exam topics including speculum and breast exam. I’ll walk you through exam partnering relevant to all exams!
-Standardized Patient with 4+ years of experience: Noted as outstanding Standardized Patient at prestigious institutions including NYU Grossman School Of Medicine, Columbia Medical School, and Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson among others.
-Portrayal and Performance background: In addition to years of medical portrayal, I am a trained actor and NYU-Tisch graduate. During our sessions, I’m able to adjust the realism of the encounter up or down to get your suspension of belief in the best shape it can be!
-Physical Exam Trained: In addition to partnering instruction, I’m able to provide instruction on placement and maneuver technique for Cardio, Pulmonary, Neuro, OBGYN, and Abdominal assessments.
-Special Interview Components: I’ll talk you through the best ways to approach special history taking components such as pediatric social history, mini mental status exams, approaching a patient who is disoriented or in pain, disruptive patients, psych patients, and motivational interviewing.

————How my sessions work————
Beforehand, I’ll provide you with a brief questionnaire so I can get a sense of where you’re at in your learning and what’s tripping you up or freakin’ you out. I’ll structure our time based on your personal needs.
Generally, a 50 min. session includes a quick initial talk so that we can get to know each other and go over broad empowerment concepts, then we’ll jump into a “stop start” scenario where we will work through any issues that you’ve mentioned or might come up. We’ll end with a discussion of your personal goals and tools going forward.
