Lucy is the best language teacher I have ever had, hands down. The first time I tried learning Arabic in university, it was incredibly hard, and I felt like I wasn't progressing. Then I started classes with Lucy and things changed. She takes time to understand your learning style, is patient but will challenge you to ensure progress, and has a great sense of humor. I have taken Arabic lessons with Lucy for years, in-person and online. She is an amazing teacher, who is always patient and encouraging - you will never be embarrassed for a mistake or shy to ask questions. Lucy makes class engaging with comfortable conversation, laughter, and exercises that include interesting stories about regional history and legends. She has a seemingly endless number of worksheets and exercises for every level that are fun to practice with. Something that was also important to me: she knows how to teach colloquial language even if you do not know the Arabic alphabet. I enjoy all of my lessons and the time flies by! I highly recommend Lucy for every person and every level.

Lucy has been my Arabic teacher for 6 years, on and off, whenever I needed it. Regardless of how much time I take off in between semesters with Lucy, her lessons always stick in my head. I moved cities and had to take Arabic classes with different teachers and I was able to fly through them without lifting a finger because Lucy had engrained the rules of the language in my head so deeply.
Lucy is also the kindest and most compassionate person I've ever met and it's really fun to be in her class. She's a fantastic teacher, but most of all she's brilliant. She knows so many languages I've lost count. She uses her intelligience and kindness to meet students wherever they're at, to get to know their strengths and help them utilize those strengths to best learn the language. I've never met someone so dedicated to learning how I learn and so naturally adaptable to different teaching and learning strategies. She really is the best teacher.
