About Lottie

I'm a motivated individual who loves to teach! I have 7 years' experience in tutoring a variety of subjects, from mathematics to Oxford application advice. My maths tutoring is advertised under a separate advertisement. I love tutoring as a way to really help students engage with topics I love, and help them to access grades which will open doors for them in their future careers.

About the lesson

I have a unique perspective on tutoring A Level Geology, having completed the WJEC exam myself in 2019, achieving an A*. I can cover a variety of modules or focus on specific topics as required. I like to take a case study approach, applying theoretical knowledge to real world examples. For high level students I can advise on extra reading and cover topics to a deeper degree to help them access higher grades and aid them in their university applications. I've given application and interview advice to many prospective students to various universities but mainly Oxford. I focus on phrases that universities do and don't look for, formatting and most importantly ideas about extra reading, summer schools and other experience the student may like to access to help perfect their personal statement. I'm experienced in running mock interviews and helping students with the university application process.

My rate for university admissions help is slightly higher (£40/hr) than A-Level and GCSE Earth Sciences/Geology course tuition (£35/hr).
