About Tony
I’m an Oxford University Economics and Management graduate with professional experience in Investment Banking and Trading at top-tier institutions such as Citigroup. I have also been awarded a full merit scholarship to study at London Business School. At school, I achieved top grades in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Economics and Computer Science at A Level, as well as nine GCSEs at grades 8–9 (A* equivalent), including Maths, English, Sciences and Economics. I’ve also won awards in four different Economics essay competitions. I genuinely enjoy teaching and mentoring. Helping students build confidence, improve their grades and achieve ambitious goals (Oxbridge, LSE, top UK/US universities, competitive internships) is something I find extremely rewarding.

I tailor every lesson to the student. In the first session, we discuss your goals (e.g. target grades, Oxbridge/US applications, GMAT/SAT, CV or personal statement) and identify strengths and gaps in knowledge. From there, I create a clear plan so you always know what we’re working towards. A typical academic lesson (Maths, Further Maths, Economics, Computer Science, English or Sciences) includes: • a short recap of previous content • clear, step-by-step explanation of new concepts • worked examples • exam-style questions with detailed feedback and tips on exam technique For CV writing, personal statements and applications, I help you structure your story, improve clarity and impact, and make your profile stand out to admissions tutors and recruiters. Lessons are friendly, structured and results-focused – the aim is to build confidence as well as grades.

Details
Standard rate is £50/h for all online and in-person lessons. The first 1-hour lesson is free so we can discuss your goals, review your level and agree a study plan. 5-hour and 10-hour packs are charged at the same hourly rate and can be used flexibly across subjects (e.g. Maths, Economics, CV writing, test prep). No extra travel cost within the Paddington / Maida Vale area. For other locations nearby, feel free to message me and we can discuss what works best.
