About Eleri
I have a Masters in Literature and Arts (Merit) from Oxford University. I also hold a Level 3 Certificate in Education and Training.
I have previous experience of tutoring for GCSE and A-level, including supporting students re-taking English GCSE at college. I enjoy working with students to find an approach that best suits their needs.
I believe every learner is different, and that tutoring works best when it's tailored to the needs, learning styles and interests of each individual student. I enjoy working with each student to find the approach that suits them best. I encourage students to develop their own ideas and opinions, as well as supporting them to structure their responses effectively to achieve the best possible marks.
I have completed the NSPCC course in Safeguarding for tutors, and am registered with the DBS update service.

Eleri has been brilliant at helping my son prepare for his 13+ scholarship exams. She has taught him how to analyse texts (fiction and non-fiction) in more depth and how to structure his answers. His marks have gone up impressively since he started having lessons with Eleri, and he has told me what a good teacher she is (which is praise indeed from a grumpy 13 year old!)
