About Joshua
y name is Josh and I offer private tutoring services in Physics, Maths (including extension subjects) and History (including General, Advanced, Extension 1) to primary and secondary students of all ages. Having just graduated from the University of Oxford with a Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics, I now also provide tutoring for university students studying Politics, Philosophy, Economics, International Relations and other related subjects. Whilst Oxford definitely has a unique teaching style, it has equipped me with a rich toolkit of skills and resources that are applicable to students of all subjects and ages, including sophisticated essay writing skills, thorough research techniques, and more general skills such as those that pertain to organisation and time management.

I have been tutoring for the last 4 years, throughout my final year of school at Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School (London) and during my studies at university. During my time as a tutor, I have found that helping my students improve largely requires increasing their confidence in their own abilities. I provide my students with carefully planned lessons that seek to increase in complexity as their competence and confidence grows. Having adopted the role of prefect in high school, I am confident in engaging people of all ages and capabilities, and have found that building a strong rapport with my students through our lessons is key to their success.
