About Cecily
I am a very strong academic with A* in Maths and further maths a level. I have a first class degree in Philosophy and Theology from Oxford University. Worked as a TA in a number of schools, offering remedial reading and maths as well as more general classroom assistance. I recently started a pgce in secondary maths and frequently babysit and nanny children up to age 12.

I vary my methodology depending on the needs of the student and their objectives. I prefer to encourage students to build their own bridges of understanding with guidance from me rather than a ‘chalk and talk’ approach. I try to gauge a new student’s prior knowledge and modes of thinking in the first couple of sessions so that I can use their foundations to build up confidence and fluency.
