About Emily
I am a first/second year Maths student at the University of Oxford, I enjoy teaching others and encouraging more people to see the fun and satisfying side of Maths. I know often it can be difficult to grasp understand the original method taught by a teacher, I believe the key to overcoming difficulty in Maths is thinking outside of the box to find a method that works for the individual. I hope to give students the Mathematical confidence that allows them to prosper in both Maths and related subjects including Physics and Chemistry.

Lessons are 1 hour long, for GCSE and A-Level students studying Maths/Further Maths. I provide practice questions to run through together, and can provide a step by step method for specific questions that students are struggling with, as well as walking them through my own revision procedure. I will show students multiple possible ways to approach a problem and allow them to decide which is most compatible with their learning style, and then we can practice this together. I have 2 years’ experience tutoring younger students in Mathematics.
