About Matthew
Matt's first tutoring experience was as a private during his gap year (2010-2011) between completing A-levels and starting his Physics undergraduate. He tutored 5 students on a 1-to-1 basis at Key Stages ranging from 3-5 in Maths, Science and Physics.
Since then he has taken up teaching roles during his PhD candidacy. These roles are
-as a computing lab demonstrator, explaining physics and programming concepts to undergraduate students as they work through hands-on learning tasks;
-giving problem set tutorials, explaining how to answer problem set questions and filling in gaps in students' knowledge which required a thorough understanding of their curriculum as to give an alternate presentation of key concepts.
-giving informal reading group seminars to peers, presenting research-level theorems and results.
