About JC
I am an MPhil candidate in Economics at the University of Oxford with extensive teaching experience, from elementary school to university level. My teaching interests and experience are centred around:
Mathematics
Economics and finance
Politics, philosophy and rhetoric
French and English language, poetry and civilization
In my own writing and research, I study economic policy, statistics, as well as eighteenth-century economic, religious and political thought in France and the UK. My work has been featured in the 2017 LSE Growth Commission Report, at the 2018 Empirical Management Conference at Harvard Business School, and in various reports produced by Economists Without Borders Oxford, of which I am the president.
I am fond of poetry, acting, music (including an obsession with Fleetwood Mac!), and I am a keen yet rusty debater and pianist. A citizen of Monaco, I also collect endangered Mediterranean dialects (Monégasque, Corsican, Nissart) and their literary outputs. I am fluent in French, Spanish and Monégasque, and conversational in Italian.
