About Janae

Hi there! I'm Janae, an Oxford University graduate who's been up living in Berlin for the past two years. Language learning has always been more of a passion of mine, and my goal is to make that passion contagious and help you elevate your language skills to a new level.

In the world of tutoring, I bring an easygoing and confident approach. There's no need for stress - as your tutor, I'm not here to make things complicated; I'm here to make the language learning journey feel like a conversation with a friend.

There's really no such thing as a stupid question! I believe in creating an environment where you can comfortably express any worries or concerns you might have. It's crucial to progress in a language to have all the basic grounds confident to give the foundations to learn more.

About the lesson

With a student-first mentality, I tailor my lessons to address individual concerns that may not receive adequate attention in a larger classroom setting. My lessons are typically one-hour long and designed to foster active student participation; I'm not here to lecture, but to listen and collaborate to come up with the best personalised teaching plan. My goal is to empower students with the tools they need to expedite their learning process and overcome mental blocks that often hinder language acquisition.

Drawing on my professional experience in proofreading, translation, and linguistic editing, I bring a wealth of expertise to elevate my students' written work to the highest standards. By offering personalised guidance, I aim to create an engaging and supportive learning environment where students can thrive in their German language journey.
