About Zixuan
I am currently a second year undergraduate at Oxford University studying mathematics.
I achieved 100% in National 5(GCSE) and Higher(AS) maths, aswell as A* at Advanced Higher(Alevel). I also achieved full marks in the UKMT Olympiad for Girls, and Top 50 in the country in the Maclaurin Olympiad.
As a subject that students often dislike or find overwhelming, my goal is to prove that there is no such thing as “someone who is bad at maths” and that anyone can be successful if they work hard and persevere.

My approach focuses on maintaining an active dialogue with the student, making sure they are able to understand and explain concepts themselves instead of just being taught to memorise methods.
My tutoring for Oxbridge admissions includes MAT, TMUA, STEP and interviews. Here I focus on exam technique and teaching students how to be able to utilise the concepts they have learnt in school in very hard problems, as well as effectively communicate their ideas.
I have over 2 years of tutoring experience for ages 10-18, including both one-to-one and small group classes.
