About Elfye
My name is Elfye, I’m 18, and I live in Winchester. I attended St Swithun’s School from the ages of 3–18, achieving consistently top grades throughout my academic career. I’m an incredibly driven and self-motivated person, which I believe has been the key to my academic success. Alongside my studies, I am a dedicated sportswoman, so I understand how challenging it can be to balance exams with other commitments. As a tutor, my goal is to deliver lessons tailored to your individual needs, helping you achieve maximum progress in the shortest possible time. Having achieved no less than an A grade in any of my A-level subject tests, I’ve developed highly effective study strategies, and I’m excited to share these tips and techniques to help you succeed.

TEACHING TECHNIQUES: - Initial warm-up games - Working through past paper questions together, and then doing an analysis of the mark schemes to help students identify patterns in the way that questions are phrased so that they know what is required from them in all circumstances. - Teaching students how to create concise, relevant revision materials (e.g. flashcards) which they can use both in the sessions and when completing revision independently. - Discussing difficult topics with students until they understand fully. - Quizzes and tests. LESSON LENGTH: - Typically lessons will be 1hr, however they can range from 45 minutes to 2hrs. MY QUALIFICATIONS: - I am predicted A*A*A*A* at A-level. - I have an offer from Oxford University to read Experimental Psychology. - I received eight 9’s and one 8 at GCSE. - I am 18 and am currently on a gap year. STUDENT REQUIREMENTS: - I will accept students between the ages of 4-17.
