About George

I am an Oxford Mathematics student with a strong academic background in maths, further maths and physics. I achieved A*A*A* at A-level in Maths, Further Maths and Physics, and I have always enjoyed problem-solving, especially questions where the answer is not immediately obvious.

Outside of tutoring I like to fence and play chess with the University.

About the lesson

My lessons are clear, focused and exam-driven. I tutor Maths, Further Maths, TMUA and university admissions preparation, drawing on my experience as an Oxford Mathematics student.

I focus on making difficult ideas simple, then building confidence through targeted practice and past paper questions. For TMUA, I help students develop the problem-solving habits needed for unfamiliar questions: how to start, how to think logically, and how to work under time pressure.

My approach is direct but patient. I want students to understand the maths properly, not just memorise methods.
