About Vuyo
I am a warm, bright and friendly individual with a lifelong passion for teaching and helping others grow. While I can sometimes be tardy, I always approach people with respect and an open mind, believing that there is something to learn from everyone and anyone, including you. I have completed high school and am currently pursuing my studies to become a qualified lawyer, driven by a strong commitment to justice and lifelong learning. I have several years of experience teaching primary schoolers and now high schoolers about Christianity at church on a weekly basis. Through this I have gained skills such as patience, communication, responsibility and an understanding for preteen and teenagers.

The lessons would be taught in English. I am a teacher that is more concerned with the understanding of a concept. I believe learning is more than cramming but about critical thinking and practical application. My lessons would be aimed for intermediate to proficient English learners. And a typical lesson would look like this: I would start off by asking them questions on what they understand about the material being covered. This would provide me with insight into their perspective. Thereafter I would teach the concepts in a manner appropriate for their level of understanding. The learner would practice, then I would require the student to explain the concept back to me, to make an assessment of their growth and understanding.
