About Jake
I’ve been teaching chemistry and other sciences for 3 years and started teaching because I found a passion for explaining the ‘hard to comprehend’ topics in innovative and relatable ways. With practical industrial experience I can illustrate my lessons with stories of real world example where the classroom knowledge is utilised and help to drive home the importance of a solid science education.

With over 1500 hours of teaching experience my lessons are engaging, direct and meaningful. Having worked as an examiner for chemistry GCSE I am fully aware of what skills and knowledge are essential for success. Lessons I’ll last one hour and will involve worked examples of problems, explanation and discussion of key concepts to ensure a deep understanding and to help improve your ability to manipulate the concepts for the desired outcome.
