About Rudi
Hi, I’m Rudi!
I have been playing basketball since the age of 10, and what began as a hobby has grown into a lifelong passion. Alongside my background as a former player, I am also an experienced team coach, focused on preparing young athletes for competitive basketball.
As a coach, I am committed to understanding each player’s strengths and areas for improvement, as well as the demands of the game. I design training sessions to develop key skills and help players improve their ability to perform effectively in real game situations.
As a former basketball player, I’ve always been committed to understanding the game deeply and continuously improving my skills. As a Shooting Guard (SG) who is known especially for my long-range shooting, I’ve competed in various levels including high school state championships, 3x3 tournaments, and adult competitions at Albert Park and Footscray in my 20s.
Although I’ve spent years working in professional corporate environments, my love for basketball has never faded. That passion has led me to take the next step: becoming a basketball coach and personalised private coach. My goal is to teach and inspire students to love the game as much as I do.

I believe every basketball player, regardless of age or experience, needs strong fundamentals to truly excel. I focus on building core skills including dribbling, passing, shooting, and defence. During the first session, I’ll assess your current level and identify areas for improvement, then create a tailored practice plan that suits your ability and goals.
My coaching is ideal for:
• Kids 8-12 years old
• Beginners and those with no prior experience (kids)
• Intermediate players looking to sharpen specific skills
About the training session:
• Length: 1 hour (I do not offer free trial sessions)
• Training includes warm-ups, basketball drills, and game strategy

- Although I’ve listed the hourly rate for private training, please get in touch if you have a group of 2–4 players interested in training together, and I’ll be happy to provide a group rate.
- Please note that my fees include the court hire fee.
- I do not offer offer free trial sessions.
