Hi Parents & Students,

My name is Luke and I’m an experienced primary & secondary trained teacher.

I currently offer small engaging and fun face to face small peer-learning programs for creative writing across years P - 6. These specialised programs are aimed at helping students develop their creative writing skills in line with the curriculum, while also improving their problem solving skills, idea articulation and comfort with the fundamentals of writing.

My approach to teaching focuses on getting the fundamentals right and fostering a good and enjoyable framework for writing. My extensive experience and nurturing approach has allowed me to help many students rebuild their confidence and enjoyment in writing, and put them in a good position to thrive back in the classroom setting.

I focus primarily on peer learning development at a young age, to foster the right behaviour and skills so that students can actually apply it back in the classroom. This way the fundamentals they achieve in my programs not only give the students confidence in my sessions but allow them to take it and apply it outside of just my lessons to accelerate their overall development.

As part of the process I offer a free trial & consultation process to make sure I have the right program and fit for your child's learning needs.

I currently offer small engaging and fun face to face classes for English & Writing in Alphington.

Classes are kept small and ability based so that lessons can still be personalised, whilst inviting discussion and challenging students to have fun learning alongside their peers. I use formative assessment to ensure that students progress can be accurately measured and that programs are tailored to their needs. Classes are a well-rounded mix of theory, hands-on practice, interactive activites, discussion and individual work, to make sure that everyone gets the most out of the subject!
