About DOREX

Bonjour! My name is David Lotanna, a French native speaker born in Yaoundé, the capital city of Cameroon, and currently based in Nigeria.

My passion for teaching French began when I noticed that many French learning centers in Nigeria were not adequately helping students develop real confidence and fluency in the language. This inspired me to become part of the solution by creating a more practical, engaging, and student-centered learning experience.

I hold a B2 DELF certification alongside other online certifications in French language studies. I am also the founder of an online French academy where I help students learn French effectively using modern and innovative methods.

In addition to being a French instructor, I am a graphic designer and a tech enthusiast. I creatively combine technology, visual learning techniques, and AI-powered tools to make French lessons easier, interactive, and highly effective for students at different levels.

With over 4 years of teaching experience in French centers, private tutoring, and online classes, I have successfully helped many students improve their speaking, reading, pronunciation, and confidence in French communication.

Teaching French is more than just a profession for me — it is a passion. I genuinely enjoy helping students grow, overcome their fears, and become confident French speakers.

Bonjour! My name is David Lotanna, a passionate French instructor dedicated to helping students become confident and proficient French speakers. I am very intentional about the growth and progress of every student I teach.

My teaching style is interactive, practical, and student-focused. I help students improve their reading skills through repetition techniques and by explaining the meanings of words based on the context of sentences, making learning easier and more natural.

For speaking practice, I engage students in dialogues on familiar everyday topics and use passages to improve pronunciation, fluency, and comprehension. I also leverage AI tools to make learning more effective, engaging, and result-oriented.

Beyond teaching the language, I help students build confidence in speaking French by encouraging positive thinking and consistency. I understand the challenges learners face because I have been in their shoes, and I know the journey toward becoming fluent.

One unique aspect of my classes is connecting students with French natives and fellow learners, creating a wonderful learning community that helps students grow faster and stay motivated.

To help students become exceptional speakers, I encourage presentations and debates as part of assessments. This pushes students to express themselves confidently and think in French naturally.
