About Eloise
I completed a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education (secondary) with majors in English and Study of Religion. I have taught in both Australia and the UK.
During my years teaching high school English in Australia, I enjoyed working with all young people in a supportive school environment that ensured I was able to cater to the individual needs of my students. I love working with young people as they grow and learn, flourishing into well formed young adults.
Since moving to the UK, I have discovered that the school system has created the need for private tutors. Private tutoring allows me to work with individual or small groups of students who are invested in their futures, and are willing to seek out the support they need and the educational standards they deserve.

After a few highly engaging diagnostic activities, I strategically tailor a program that will cater to your needs and celebrate your strengths. My preference is for you to be involved in setting your own achievement goals, so you are optimally motivated. I strongly believe in a growth mindset approach to education, emphasising a shift in mindset so young people can learn to feel positive about challenges they face.
Particular focus areas could include: Spelling, Punctuatiom, Grammar, Reading Comprehension, Creative Writing, Non-fiction and Transactional Writing, GCSE Preparation, A levels (Literature) support.
