About Yahia

I’m a Grade 11 student with a strong academic record, consistently achieving grades of 90% or higher. Math has been a passion of mine from a young age, and I’ve always enjoyed the challenge of solving problems and finding different ways to reach an answer.

I’m patient, responsible, and enjoy helping others understand concepts that may seem difficult at first. Being a student myself also helps me connect with younger students and understand the challenges they face in the classroom.

Outside of academics, I enjoy taekwondo, swimming, and chess. These interests have helped me develop discipline, focus, perseverance, and strategic thinking—qualities that I also bring to my approach to Math and tutoring.

I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, working through challenges, and learning from mistakes. My goal is for each student to leave our lessons with a stronger understanding of Math and greater confidence in their abilities.

About the lesson

I believe Math becomes much easier when you understand the “why” behind it, not just memorize the steps. In my online lessons, I break down challenging concepts into simple, manageable steps and work through problems at the student’s pace.

Each lesson will be tailored to what the student needs, whether that’s understanding a difficult topic, completing homework, reviewing previous concepts, or preparing for a quiz or test.

As a Grade 11 student, I’ve recently studied the same concepts my students are learning, so I understand where they may get stuck and can explain things in a relatable, student-friendly way.

My goal is to help students in Grades 6–10 strengthen their Math skills, improve their problem-solving abilities, and most importantly, build confidence in their ability to succeed in Math.
