About Samuel
As a professional musician, sound engineer and games master, maths is interwoven in everything we do. Maths isn't the study of numbers, it's the study of patterns. Whilst piano and keytar are my main industries, I also work as a producer, arranger and singer too. I'm incredibly passionate about my work and thoroughly believe that anyone who wishes to study with my should be too. As a games master, I'm well versed in probability and statistics, combining them with creative writing skills every day to craft and design games for people to play online. I've worked in TV News and audio production in the past too, so I have a good understanding and real-world experience of these industries should you be looking for something a little more niche. I've been self-employed for over a decade now constantly doing work that I love, so if you want to pursue your passion and turn it into a career, then I'm probably a good fit for you! Every student is different, so I tailor my approach to the individual. Whether it's instrumental tuition, numerical literacy or historical and social context in music, I believe that creating an environment where the student feels like they could've discovered the knowledge themselves is far better than rote memorisation of facts and formulas.

Sammo has coached me in music theory and practical music for over five years now, I would not be studying my Masters at Conservatoire without his help.
Being from an engineering background, I had a rudimentary understanding of signal processing and acoustic modelling, but was never able to really balance it against real-world experience. Samuel has a great demeanour and can always think of a dozen different ways to explain the same thing, so you'll always get it one way or another.
