As a music tutor, I believe that learning should be both structured and inspiring. My name is Israe, and I combine technical training with creativity to help each student connect deeply with music—whether they are beginners or advancing musicians.

Teaching Method & Techniques

I tailor my lessons to each student’s goals, whether they want to play for fun, prepare for exams, or pursue music professionally. I use a student-centered approach that balances music theory, ear training, and practical performance. My lessons often include:

Warm-up exercises and technique building

Rhythm and sight-reading drills

Repertoire development (classical, pop, jazz, or the student’s preferred genre)

Music theory and ear training integrated naturally into practice

I use modern tools like backing tracks, interactive apps, and personalized practice guides to make learning both fun and effective.

A Typical Lesson Plan

Each lesson is usually structured as follows:

Warm-up (5–10 minutes): Finger exercises, scales, or vocal warm-ups

Skill Focus (15–20 minutes): Technique or theory topic (e.g., chord progressions, rhythm patterns)

Repertoire Practice (20–25 minutes): Working on one or two pieces/songs

Wrap-Up (5 minutes): Feedback, Q&A, and setting goals for next time

For younger students or complete beginners, I keep lessons playful and encouraging, using games and visual aids to keep motivation high.

What Sets Me Apart

What makes me unique as a tutor is my ability to adapt to different learning styles and personalities. I focus on building confidence, not just skill, and I make sure each student feels heard and supported. As a lifelong musician, I bring both technical expertise and emotional sensitivity to each lesson. I also emphasize creativity—encouraging students to compose, improvise, and explore their own musical voice.

Who the Lessons Are For

My lessons are ideal for:

Children (ages 6+) just starting their musical journey

Teenagers and adults looking to improve technique, learn theory, or explore new genres

Students preparing for exams (ABRSM, RCM, conservatory auditions, etc.)

Anyone who wants to enjoy music and grow at their own pace

Lessons are available in-person or online, and I teach a variety of instruments (please specify which instruments you teach if you'd like me to include that too).
