About Prisha

Hi, I am Prisha! I am a passionate and dedicated educator currently completing my Master of Teaching (Primary Education) at Victoria University, Melbourne. Teaching and working with children has always been close to my heart — it is not just a career path for me, it is something I genuinely love.
My journey with children spans across classrooms, communities and one-on-one settings. I have completed a classroom internship at a primary school, where I worked alongside experienced teachers to support student learning, engagement and well-being. I have also volunteered and worked with a child-focused NGO, delivering educational programs to children from diverse and underserved backgrounds — an experience that truly shaped my understanding of inclusive and compassionate teaching.
I am a patient, warm and encouraging tutor who creates a safe and supportive space where children feel comfortable to ask questions, make mistakes and grow. I understand that every child learns at their own pace and I take pride in adapting my approach to suit each student's unique learning style and needs.
I am bilingual in English and Hindi, hold a current Working with Children Check, and bring both formal academic training and real-world classroom experience to every session. Whether your child needs a confidence boost, extra support, or simply a fun and structured learning environment — I am here to help them thrive.

About the lesson

My tutoring sessions are designed to be engaging, encouraging and tailored to each child's individual learning needs. I believe every child learns differently, and I take the time to understand how each student thinks and processes information before adapting my teaching style accordingly.
My sessions typically run for 60 minutes and cover primary school subjects including English, Mathematics, Environmental Studies and Social Science. I use a mix of visual aids, real-life examples, interactive activities and structured practice to make lessons fun and easy to understand. I place a strong emphasis on building a child's confidence alongside their academic skills, because I truly believe that when a child feels capable, their learning accelerates naturally.
My lessons are suited for primary school aged children (Foundation to Year 6) who need additional support, want to get ahead, or simply need someone patient and encouraging by their side.
In terms of experience, I am currently completing my Master of Teaching (Primary Education) at Victoria University, Melbourne, which drives both my passion and my methodology. I have completed a classroom internship at a school where I assisted with lesson delivery, student engagement and activity planning. I have also worked with a child-focused NGO where I delivered educational programmes to children from diverse backgrounds. Combined with my personal one-on-one tutoring experience, I bring both formal training and genuine hands-on experience to every session.
I am bilingual in English and Hindi, which allows me to support students from Hindi-speaking backgrounds with greater ease and understanding.
